A Strip of Arrowtown Landscape Art

For art some of us have been working on A Strip of Arrowtown Landscapes. We had to include what was important to us, and to Arrowtown. We used pastels and dye. Here are the first ones that are finished.
 




Year 3 Writing


Room 6, 7 and 5 get together to do writing on Thursdays. Here we are working collaboratively with our buddies. We are writing letters to The Onceler from" The Lorax" to giver our opinion on what he is doing to the environment.

Year 3 have been looking at patterns in Maths.
Room 5 made patterns to create beautiful Easter Eggs that we turned into cards to give someone special at Easter.

Learning to use google docs

Some of use have been focusing on the poem called "My Robot". We decided to create our own robots  to introduce ourselves to Google Drawings. We are learning how to make shapes, copy and paste, enlarge, re-position and colour. Check out some of the robots, and other pictures we have created.

Arrowtown School Kapa Haka NZ Open Welcome Party, Arrowtown 2016

It was great to see so many of the Year 3 children supporting the Senior Kapa Haka at the NZ Open Welcome Party. We have got so many Year 3 children in the junior Kapa Haka, so watching the performance was very inspirational.

Pattern are awesome

On Friday all the year 3 children worked on our pattern activities. We were the blogger reporters. Isla made a beautiful patern. Can you see it?

At syndicate assembly Room 5 sang us a song. We are all going to learn it for next time.

Year 3 Pattern Exploration.
